I’m John Boyd and I’m known as “The Cool Car Guy”.   People are always asking me, “What is it that you do?”

I’m the guy you call when you are about to drive your car into a lake or you’re just tired of what you’re driving. I will get you the vehicle you want, usually at the price you want without the brain damage of running around from dealership to dealership, spending hours surfing Craigslist, AutoTrader or, only to find out that the vehicle you are looking for is no longer available.  It may have been totally misrepresented and a nightmare on wheels.  There are risks in buying used vehicles and it an be expensive to repair them.

I connect people with cool cars.  What’s a cool car?  Whatever is cool to you.  I am the owner of that is a licensed car dealership here in Lone Tree, Colorado that I call a “boutique” for buying, selling, trading and leasing vehicles.

I have been licensed as a professional salesperson at multiple dealerships to sell cars here in Colorado for over a dozen years, including JFR & Associates, Centennial Leasing and Sales, EMI and Epic Autos Colorado.  I have my own license as the owner of a car dealership, so you are working with the owner of the dealership and not just a salesperson at a car dealership.  I have many relationships with people in the automotive industry, so I’m more like a real estate agent for cars.

What does this mean to you?

  • My overhead is my cell phone and a small executive office.
  • I buy, sell, trade and lease vehicles everyday and most people go through the process once every three, four or five years.
  • I can do things others can’t.
    • I have access to sources, like the dealer auctions and buying networks only available to dealerships.
    • I will shop your trade because I have relationships with dealers and wholesalers that will buy your vehicle.
    • I have access to funding sources to get you financing and approved on a loan, including banks that specialize in assisting people with credit challenges or even a bankruptcy.
    • In other words, I do it all!
  • You tell me the price you want, the features you want, the vehicle you want and as one of my clients recently said to me, “I didn’t really know what I wanted, but I told you what I wanted and you hit it by 99%, which was incredible and you saved me $10,000 compared to a new one, which I didn’t think was possible.”

Let’s face it, most people are not driving the car they want.  Many people I talk with hate their cars and they would like to drive something else, but they don’t know if they can afford what they really want to drive.  That’s where I come in.

My business model is a dealership boutique, so you won’t find a lot with 50 vehicles  in inventory that I’m paying interest on each month that I need to charge you for.  If you want to get a vehicle on your own or shop around with other auto consultants or dealerships, I’m not your guy.  Many auto brokers are just employees at car dealerships and the dealership’s overhead is massive compared to mine.  I don’t have to make my mortgage payment on one car sale and I inventory a very small number of vehicles each month.

You can buy a piece of real estate on your own, but does that make you an expert in real estate transactions?  Would you turn down an expert willing to help you with the largest purchase you will make – for free?  Your automobile transaction is the second largest purchase for most people, so why wouldn’t you want to engage an expert to help you in this process?  I only get paid if I deliver you a vehicle.


I am selective with who I work with because getting people exactly what they want at the price they want without the brain damage of doing it on their own is a specialty.  It’s not for everyone, but I can help anyone.

My business is nationwide, so regardless of where you are I can get you your vehicle.  It’s not just specialty cars like a DeLorean, it could be a client looking to lease a new Honda Civic or a client who needs a reliable vehicle for their son or daughter.  I work with people from all walks of life with all kinds of financial and vehicle situations.


There are technically no “auto brokers” in the State of Colorado, but that’s what most of us are known as – I prefer to call myself an Automotive Consultant.  I do things that most other car salesman and dealerships can’t do because most of them are trained to “sell what’s on the lot” just like going to a traditional car dealership.


I offer a consignment program that you can read about by clicking on the link to the right of this article.  I also can handle your trade since I have sources that will buy your vehicle today, typically for more than what a traditional car dealership with much higher overhead offered you.

Everything I do is based on offer and acceptance, so there are no hidden charges.  You don’t have to pay me a fee to engage my services like some auto brokerage services charge.  If I don’t deliver on what I promise – I don’t get paid!

In other words, it costs you NOTHING unless I deliver you the vehicle you want at the price you want.  I build my commission into the price of the vehicle and every transaction is different.  If you’re not satisfied you can walk away at any time and it’s a two way street because I  typically have about twenty to thirty people at a time using my services.  It’s that simple.
